Students compete in Special Olympics bowling tourney

Five Greene County students competed in the North Central Area Special Olympics bowling tournament on Oct. 22, held at Ridgewood Lanes in Fort Dodge. The following are the names and individual placings of each participant: Tosha Harvey, first place, Ian Kensen, second place, Kelly Martin, second place, Nick Walsh, third place and Jade Milledge, did not compete.
All athletes were placed into specific divisions based on age, gender and ability. Competitors practiced for several weeks prior to the event at Spare Time Lanes bowling alley, located in Jefferson. Coaches for the Greene County team included Deb Rigers, Sue Lansman, Jeri Gettler and Mona Weltz.
