Mumma Law Firm wins Chamber golf tournament

The team representing Mumma Law Firm shot a 57 and won over fifteen other teams at the annual Chamber Golf Tournament held at the Jefferson Community Golf Course on August 1. A four person best shot format was used for the 18 holes played, and team members on the winning squad were Mike Mumma, Keith Pedersen, Adam Pedersen, and Chris Nelson. The second place team of Joel Williams, Nate Neven, Dean Dozier, and Gabe Bowers represented Wilcox Law Firm and shot a 60, and one of Home State Bank’s teams (Sid Jones, Dean McAtee, Scott Webber, and Mark Vander Linden) was third with a score of 64.
The annual chamber golf outing is an opportunity for members to socialize and get to know one another better. Businesses contributing prizes and/or sponsoring holes were Ace Hardware, Action Graphics, All Abilities Cycles, Angie’s Tea Garden, Bett and Bev’s, Breadeaux Pisa, Community State Bank, Durbin Automotive, Edward Jones, Excuses Pizza, Finches Greene County Motors, Greene County Abstract Company, Greene County Chamber of Commerce, Greene County Medical Center, Hotel Pattee, Home State Bank, Jefferson Eye Care PC, John 15 Vineyard, Krieger’s Flower Shop, Mac Donald Insurance Iowa Realty, Midland Power Cooperative, Muir Embroidery, Peony Chinese Restaurant, Peoples Trust and Savings Bank, Pizza Ranch, Raccoon Valley Radio, Sierra Community Theatre, State Farm Insurance, Subway, Uptown Cafe, Wilcox Law Firm, and Wild Rose Entertainment.
