Inaugural Ram basketball night set for Friday

Local youth can participate in activities at the middle school

Basketball season is fast approaching.

A little over a week away and the Greene County boys basketball players are excited.

The local school district will hold the inaugural Ram Night Friday, Nov. 18. Students 3rd-8th grade, their parents, high school players' parents, and anyone in the community are welcome to watch practice and see what is being incorporated and how kids are improving.

The practice will last an hour and 15 minutes.

Once practice is done, the 3rd-8th grade kids can head down to the court to work on various skills with the high school kids and also compete in various competitions.

To end the night, the Greene County high school basketball players will hold an autograph session where kids can have the players sign their shirts. Parents and players will have a chance to meet new Greene County head coach, Chris Nelson, as well.

Children should wear a plain red, white, or grey shirt.

A large, team picture with all kids and players involved will bring the night to a close.

Ram Night is about building a positive and competitive culture – from the team, to youth players, to the parents, to the school and to the community.
