Kenneth Dale Hostetler, of Jefferson, son of Willard and Lois Hostetler, was born Sept. 24, 1964, in Ames.

Stanley Dean Ackerman, 56, died June 10 in Corydon, Iowa.

Services were held June 15 at Clover Hall of the Greene County Fairgrounds, with words of comfort by Pastor Wendy Pittman.

Jean Marie Sheesley, 89, passed away June 11 at her residence.

A native of Scranton, she was born March 17, 1930, to Cassius L. and Ethel Pauline (Peterson) Cadden. 

Services for Daryl “Glen” Luther were held June 11 at Gospel Open Bible Church in Jefferson.

Visitation was June 10 in the Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson.

Chase Allen Flack, 26, died June 1 in Des Moines.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Wayne Arnold Smith was held May 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Jefferson with Father John Gerald officiating. 

Dorothy Vreugdenhil, 60, of Dana, shed her mortal existence surrounded by family on June 2.

She was born Jan. 2, 1959, in Omaha to Marvin and Patricia (Vreugdenhil) White. 

Betty June Miller, daughter of Henry and Anna Jochimsen Segebart, was born on her family’s farm in Crawford County on June 16, 1929.
