Elizabeth “Betty” Gunion, 88, of Grand Junction, passed away early the morning of Aug. 19 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
Brian D. Meyer, 67, of Ely, formerly of Jefferson, died Aug. 26 at the Solon Care Center.
Private celebration of life services and inurnment will be held at a later date.
Phyllis Wiederin, the daughter of Verlin and Mildred (Schwering) Blair, was born at home in Dayton on June 5, 1932. She passed from this life Aug. 26 at the Shady Oaks Care Center in Lake City.

William (Bill) Lawton, a longtime rural Jefferson farmer, passed away July 12 at Archstone Care Center near his retirement home in Sun Lakes, Ariz.
He was 86.
Mary M. “Sally” White, age 94½, left this earthly life on the morning of Aug. 11 at the Iowa River Hospice Home with family at her side.
Theodore Leroy Ely, of Jefferson, was born to Everett and Henrietta (Gibson) Ely in Guthrie County on Jan. 6, 1937.
Ted was very talented in a number of disciplines.

Services for Doris Jean Holz, 91, were held Aug. 6 at the First United Presbyterian Church in Grand Junction, with words of comfort by Commissioned Pastor Wendy Pittman.
