Linda Marie Hadden Hardy, loving mother and grandmother, educator and entrepreneur, died Saturday, March 8, 2014 of complications from a brain aneurysm at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines. She was 62.
Dale Leroy Tasler died Mar. 4 at the age of 75. He was born to Joseph and Bertha Tasler on June 9, 1938 near Churdan and farmed in the area his entire life.

LaVerne E. Miers, 90, of Boonville, MO, passed away Mar. 3 at his home.
Mildred Fay Liston Karber 91, of Grand Junction, passed away peacefully Feb. 19 at Israel Hospice House in Ames surrounded by her family.
Lyle John Redfern, 79, of Jefferson, passed away Feb. 22 at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson.
Gary Craig Peacock, 74, born at Greene County Hospital on Sept. 13, 1939 and died at the hospital on Feb. 10.
Graveside services at the Jefferson Cemetery will be held at a later date.
Edith LaVonne “Edie” Collins, 87, of Bettendorf and a former area resident, passed away peacefully Feb. 20 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility after a long battle with COPD.
