Lois Galpin

 Lois Jane Galpin was born in Jefferson to Lloyd and Ruth Hoskins on April 3, 1937.  She passed away on May 5 in Tulsa, OK.
 

Lois is survived by her husband Wayne of 59 years and their two sons; Mike and David and their families. She is also survived by her siblings Elaine, Myrna, Frank, Betty, brother & sister-in-laws, and a host of nieces & nephews.
 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ruth Hoskins, her sister Rose and brother Ralph, Aunt Rose Graue, and sister-in-law Dolores Downing.
 

She had a fun loving personality that endeared all that knew her, she loved to entertain friends and family as well as cooking and great wine.
 

Lois was an accomplished woman, achieving her Masters Degree in teaching from Iowa State University.
 Her long career in the Ankeny Iowa school system, in their learning disabilities program, contributed to the betterment of many of her student’s lives.
 

She was a proud member and leader of many garden and herb clubs in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and Tulsa, Oklahoma.
 

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. May 10, at the Panora First Christian Church.  Burial will be in the West Cemetery, Panora.  Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the services at the church.
 

Memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church of Panora, at 102 E. Church St. Panora, Iowa 50216.
