June Bowers

June Leone (Van Horn) Bowers, 88, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022, in Des Moines.

June was born December 22, 1933, along with twin sister, Jane, in Greene County, Iowa, to Delmar Guy Van Horn and Leone Lillian Burke Van Horn of Jefferson, Iowa.

June is survived by her twin sister, Jane Rosenberger of Sacramento, CA; sons, Bill Cadden of Oak Harbor, WA, and Jim (Natalie) Cadden of Georgetown, TX; two granddaughters, Erin Cadden of Woodley, WA and Kelly Cadden of Oak Harbor, WA, and her wonderful caretaker, Deb (John) Grenko of Carlisle. 

June was preceded in death by her husband, Jack of Des Moines, IA; brother, Delmar Van Horn Jr. of Jefferson; sister, Jewell (Judy) Williams of Scottsdale, AZ; and son, Tim Cadden of Jefferson.

June was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Upon June’s request, her remains will be cremated and no services will be performed.
