Judy Wills

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Peacock Wills, loving mother of Kelly, Craig, Todd and Paige.

Judy passed away peacefully at the age of 76 on Dec. 6 with her family by her side.

Judy was born on Jan. 10, 1944, in Jefferson to Craig and Vivian Peacock. She loved growing up in her hometown surrounded by her parents, older brother, Gary, and her extended Jackson and Peacock family members.

Judy attended Northwest Missouri State University and then moved to Omaha, where she worked for the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

It was in Omaha where she met her former husband, Keith Wills. They raised their four children in Arizona, South America, Wyoming and New Mexico.

Judy loved to travel, entertain friends and family in her home, sing, play the piano, write poetry, play cards with her friends and board games with her kids and grandkids. She had a beautiful voice and taught herself to play the piano. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children, grandchildren and son and daughter in laws.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Craig and Vivian; her brother, Gary Peacock; and her two siblings, Josephine and David, who were born stillborn but remained in her heart throughout her life.

She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Wills, of Phoenix; son Craig Wills (Britt), of San Antonio; son Todd Wills, of Glendale, Ariz.; and daughter Paige Brown (David), of Big Sky, Mont.; grandchildren: Joshua Wills-King, Tanner Wills, Tucker Wills, Brooke Wills, Audrey Wills, Hollis Wills and Hayden Brown; numerous extended family members and lifelong friends.

Judy volunteered in the gift shop at the Tubac Center of the Arts, in Tubac, Ariz., where she lived for several years. She loved volunteering in the gift shop where it combined her love of art, the Wild West and giving back to the community that she loved. Donations may be made online at tubacarts.org in Judy’s name.

Judy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for her beautiful smile, kind heart and sense of adventure.

Details about a memorial service to be held in 2021 at the Jefferson Cemetery will follow.

Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home is assisting the family.
