James Fox

James Lewis Fox, 79, of Bella Vista, Ark. died Sept. 16 at Concordia Nursing & Rehab in Bella Vista. He was born on Aug. 23, 1935 in Paton, Iowa to Fred Arthur Fox and Helen Fern Grant Fox.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge for over 50 years. He loved to golf, bowl and wood working in his shop. He was a former usher for the University of Arkansas football and basketball games for over 17 years. He was a member or the First United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Patricia Fox of Bella Vista, Ark.; sons, David Fox and wife Kathy of Moline, Ill., Stephen Fox and wife Rhonda of Cave Creek, Ariz., Daughter, Karen Fox of Dubuque; step-daughters, Karen Walton of Eastman, Wis., Dawn Meyer of Dubuque; sister, Betty Tilley and husband Lawrence of Jefferson, Iowa; fifteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sept. 19 in the First United Methodist Church, 20 Boyce Drive, Bella Vista, Ark. with brother Jaimie Alexander officiating. Arrangements are by the Bella Vista Funeral Home & Crematory, 2258 Forest Hills Blvd., Bella Vista, Arkansas.
