Grant Robbins

Grant Reid Robbins, son of Justin and Lacie (Hoyle) Robbins, came bounding into this world on September 26, 2006, in Carroll. He seemed to be born smiling, and he made the world smile, too.  Grant was a farm lovin’, singlet wearin’, baseball catchin’, sunglass sportin’, soccer ball kickin’ boy through and through, and he loved his life on the farm north of Scranton where he grew up.

Grant was a second grader at Greene County Elementary School and loved his teacher, Mrs. Hinote, and his classmates at school.  He was a member of Rambler Wrestling Club and placed 7th at PeeWee State in March. Grant was also a member of the second-grade Rams traveling baseball team and was the spunkiest catcher and gutsiest batter you ever did see. He was just getting the hang of soccer, too and was a budding member of Greene County Soccer Club.

When you were with Grant, you were happy.  Period.  He was spunky, (a little ornery), full of life, and he did everything with great gusto. Grant was relocated to heaven on April 29 and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, classmates, and teammates. We are comforted only by the reality of heaven and rejoice because Grant knew Jesus Christ as his personal Savior…even though he dies, Grant lives.

Service of Remembrance was held at 10:30 a.m. May 2 at Abundant Life Ministries. Words of comfort by Rev. David Schroeder. Honorary Casket Bearers:  Bryce Hoyle, Brandon Hoyle, Kaleb Hoyle, Emma Hoyle, Rambler Wrestlers, Ram Baseball Traveling Team, and the Greene County Soccer Team.
