Glenda Gibson

Glenda Gay Gibson, 77, of Scranton, passed away Jan. 19 at Long Term Care in Jefferson.

A funeral service was held Jan. 25 at the Dahn and Woodhouse Funeral Home in Scranton, with Pastor Bob McKnight officiating.

Casket bearers were Jerry Boyd, Doug Batz, Mike Gibson, Troy Gibson, Jay Juergens and Kent Juergens. Burial was in the Scranton Twp. Cemetery.

Born on Nov. 2, 1942, in Carroll, she was the daughter of Forrest and Alice (Loomis) Gibson. Glenda was a lifelong resident of Scranton, where she graduated from high school in 1961.

Glenda worked on her family’s farm and did baby-sitting after high school. She was affiliated with the Church of Christ in Scranton. Glenda belonged to a card club and a birthday club. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards and going on bus trips and car rides with friends. 

Glenda is survived by several cousins and other extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Alice Gibson.
