Frank Oleson

Frank Otto Oleson, 96, of Burlington, IA, died at Rosebush Gardens, Burlington, IA, on Tuesday, November 19, 2013.
Born on December 22, 1916 in Arcadia, NE, he was the son of Oscar L.  and Hazel Tiffany Oleson. He married Theodosia Skinner on October 5, 1938 in St. Paul, NE.
Mr. Oleson was a graduate of Arcadia, Nebraska High School, Kearney State Teacher’s College and Grace Bible Institute of Omaha, Nebraska. Mr. Oleson and his father farmed for many years in Nebraska and Iowa. In mid-life he was called into the ministry and served churches in the Jefferson and Des Moines, Iowa area along with Seward and Bennet, Nebraska. In 1983 he and his wife Theodosia moved to West Burlington, Iowa to be close to their two sons and grandchildren. They recently celebrated their 75th wedding anniversary.
He is survived by his wife, Theodosia; two sons, Donald Frank (Patricia) Oleson of Burlington, IA and David Guy (Chris) Oleson of West Burlington, IA; 13 grandchildren, Erin Oleson, Kevin Oleson, Kenneth Oleson and Micah (Keli) Oleson, all of Burlington, IA, Ryan (Sara) Oleson and Heather Francis (Brian) of West Burlington, IA, Brent Oleson of Marian, IA, Jeff (Jenny) Oleson and Sarah Oleson of Jamestown, NC, Carrie Oleson (Justin Palmer) of Empire, MI, Amy Oleson of Omaha, NE, Katie Oleson of Macomb, IL, Lindsay (Chris) Ramirez of Springfield, IL; 21 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Hazel Lindell
Funeral services for Frank Otto Oleson will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Prugh’s Chapel. Pastor Kendal Adams will officiate. Interment will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
