Dennis Powers

Dennis Daniel Powers, 78, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018.  Dennis was born February 22, 1940, in Ogden, the son of Daniel and Dorothy (Arnes) Powers.  

He graduated from Jefferson High School and Simpson College, where he was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta fraternity. He served in the US Army Air Guard. He married Janice Heintz Powers in 1963. The couple lived and farmed at the family’s Century farm near Beaver for over 50 years.

Dennis was a collector of antique tractors and was well-known in the old engine hobby, participating in many shows. He also enjoyed Model T racing and had recently won the Montana 500 race.

He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife, Janice; son, Matthew and his wife, Marcia; stepmother, Shirley Powers; brother, Joe Powers (Deb); sisters, Diane Powers and Linda Williamson (David); niece, Jasmin Williamson; nephew, Chaz Williamson (Robyn) and their children Gia and Cash; and by many relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at the Community United Methodist Church in Ogden with Rev. Evelyn Lewiston will officiating.
