Annie Laurie Coil

Annie Laurie Coil, daughter of Thomas Tingle and Leona Morgan Tingle, was born June 30, 1950 in Greenwood, Mississippi. Annie went to school in Mississippi before moving to Iowa. She enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing in her younger years. In 1985 she was united in marriage to Russell Coil in Newton. The couple moved to Jefferson and were blessed with four children, Richie, Michael, Carol, and Nora. In 2016 Russell passed away. Annie worked as an Engineer and Welder for H]

AI for many years. In 2018 Annie found love again with Deloss Hegland. The couple loved to go on road trips, rock hunting, and watching the wildlife. Annie loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren more than anything in the world. On July 11, 2022 Annie passed away at the Greene County Medical Center in Jefferson. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Russell Coil, brothers Michael Tingle, Marvin Tingle, Paul Tingle, and William Tingle, and sister Nellie Tingle. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her significant other Delos Haglund; children, Rickie Tingle of Grand Junction, Michael Coil (Ashley) of Jefferson, Carol Christy of Jefferson, and Nora Long (Mark) of Jefferson; 11 grandchildren: Andi Lewis of Dayton, OH, Kaitlyn Christy of Lake City, Mia Christy of Jefferson, Mckenzie Christy of Scranton,  Ethan Coil, Ava Coil, Stephanie Coil, Shane Coil, Lori Finley, Brian Long, and Marcus Long, all of Jefferson; seven great-grandchildren; brothers Sonny Fitz and Tootie Tingle of Mississippi; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, July 31 at the Train Depot in Jefferson. 

Hastings Funeral Home in Jefferson is in charge of these arrangements.
