Greene County Pony Express Riders represented at Iowa State Fair

 On Friday, August 9, Sandra Dawson and her horse Melted Hot Chocolate (George) will compete in the Senior Cowgirl Queen contest at the Iowa State Fair to represent Greene County Pony Express Riders of Iowa.

 The Pony Express Riders of Iowa is a non-profit organization that started a branch in Greene County last year. The organization started in 1968 and raises money for counties of each branch through volunteer “riders.” The Greene County Pony Express Riders have given donations from their three hosted fundraisers to Camp Sunnyside Easter Seals in Des Moines.
