Danny Borkowski

Danny K. Borkowski, age 74, passed away peacefully at home on the farm in Churdan, Iowa, Thursday June 27. He was born on February 11, 1950 in Jefferson, Iowa to Clarence Earl Borkowski and Bernice Marie (Pfoltner) Borkowski.

Danny graduated from the Paton-Churdan High School in 1968. Shortly after he was hired by the Continental Airlines in Chicago where he lived and worked until he was drafted into the Army to serve in Vietnam from 1969-1971. On September 1, 1973, Danny married Judith Morris and adopted her son, Anthony Michael and two years later had a son together, Mathew Borkowski. Danny worked alongside his father on the family farm for a couple years before purchasing it in September 1975 then moved his family to the farm. He continued raising and selling hogs while farming until he retired in 2017. After retirement Danny enjoyed his home and family.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents and brother Dick Borkowski.

Danny is survived by his sister and brother-in-law Deb and Tim Olsen; his brother and sister-in-law Dennis and Maureen Borkowski; son and daughter-in-law Matt and Sonia Borkowski; two grandchildren, Morgan and Alex; son Tony Borkowski, two grandchildren, Rebecca and Daniel.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Churdan Community Room, 410 Sand St, Churdan, Iowa from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10.
