Wild Rose to hold two-day job fair

Wild Rose Jefferson this week announced the dates for a two-day job fair to fill positions at the $40 million casino and events center taking shape at U.S. Highway 30 and Iowa Highway 4.

The job fair will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. April 9, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 10, at Wild Rose’s temporary office in Jefferson, located at 300 Microsoy Drive.

Wild Rose Jefferson is expected to employ 275, with an estimated annual payroll of $7 million.

When it opens on Aug. 1, the 71,000-square-foot facility will boast 525 slot machines, 14 table games and a 12,000-square-foot events center.

Mike Couch, 44, was introduced in November as general manager. He last served as director of gaming at Gulfstream Park, a casino and race track in Hallandale Beach, Fla.
