April 11
12:11 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an attempted burglary in the 500 block of Main Street in Grand Junction.
6:59 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated suspicious activity in the 700 block of 202nd Street.
9:15 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted with locating the owner of a dog in the 500 block of State Street in Scranton.
10:24 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Highway 30 near S Avenue.
4:45 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 800 block of Hills Avenue in Churdan.

April 12
1:33 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on N Avenue near 130th Street.
1:47 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy and the Jefferson Fire Department responded to a train engine fire on I Avenue.
1:43 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on M Avenue near 230th Street.
5:53 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy, Jefferson Fire, and Greene County Ambulance Service responded to J Avenue and 240th Street for a two-vehicle accident.
Caden Etherton, 19, of Jefferson was traveling east on 240th Street in a 2008 Dodge Avalon. A 17-year-old male was traveling south on J Avenue and stopped at the stop sign and then failed to yield the right of way and pulled out in front Etherton. The 17-year-old was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500, which was totaled in the accident. Etherton’s car was also totaled. Both drivers were transported to the Greene County Medical Center with suspected injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
7:25 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a driving complaint on N Avenue near 190th Street. The driver of the vehicle Jose Acosta-Gallego, 39, of Nebraska was arrested for an arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault and battery out of Fairfax County, Virginia.
8:35 p.m. - Jose Acosta-Gallego 39 of Nebraska was booked into the jail for an arrest warrant for aggravated sexual assault and battery out of Fairfax County, Virginia.
9:19 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a combative patron in the 700 block of Wild Rose Lane. Peyton Oliver, 49, of New Jersey was arrested for public intoxication, disorderly conduct, and assault causing bodily injury.

April 13
1:21 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy removed a deer from the roadway on 257th Street and N Avenue.
8:42 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a theft in the 1400 block of U Avenue.
4:21 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a scam in the 1000 block of E. Hager Street in Grand Junction.
5:49 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an assault in the 400 block of S. 9th Street in Grand Junction.
8:26 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a trespass complaint in the 1400 block of U Avenue.
10:25 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a barking dog complaint in the 900 block of Eagle Street in Scranton.

April 15
7:42 a.m. - The Greene CountySheriff and deputy investigated a violation of a no contact order in the 600 block of W. Main Street, Grand Junction. Miranda Schlicht, 23, of Ralston was arrested for a no contact order violation. Zach Waters fled from the scene and arrest warrants have been requested.
8:53 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy, Grand Junction Fire and Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle accident on T Avenue and 270th Street. Ned Johnston, 71, of Rippey was traveling south on T Avenue in a 2016 Ford F150. Nancy Bishop, 60, of Jefferson was traveling east on 270th Street in a 2016 Chevrolet Traverse. Johnston failed to yield the right of way and struck Bishop’s vehicle, totaling both vehicles. Both drivers were transported by private party to a medical center. Johnston was issued a citation for failure to yield the right of way.
1:42 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a careless driving complaint on Highway 30 near N Avenue.
11 p.m. - The Greene County Sheriff and deputies investigated a complaint of an underage party in the 2300 block of 210th Street.

April 16
12:57 a.m. - The Greene County Sheriff and deputies investigated a complaint of an underage party in the 1700 block of Q Avenue. Landyn Venteicher, 18, of Jefferson was charged with possession of alcohol underage, Sawyer Schiltz, 19, of Jefferson was charged with possession of alcohol underage, Kole Teeples, 18, of Jefferson was charged with possession of alcohol underage, Kaydence Newby, 18, was charged with possession of alcohol underage, Daniel Rivera, 18, of Jefferson was charged with possession of alcohol underage, and there was one under 18 juvenile charged with possession of alcohol underage. The party is still under investigation.
1:06 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an assault in the 1400 block of 265th Street.
1:32 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a burglary alarm in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
1:36 a.m. - Sawyer Schiltz, 19, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of alcohol underage.
1:46 a.m. - Landyn Venteicher, 18, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of alcohol underage.
1:46 a.m. - Kaydence Newby, 18, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of alcohol underage.
2:40 a.m. - Kole Teeples, 18, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of alcohol underage.
2:40 a.m. - Daniel Rivera, 18, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for possession of alcohol underage.
1:55 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on U Avenue and 240th Street.
9:07 p.m. - Mitchell Venteicher, 37, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for driving while barred.
9:34 p.m. - Angel Vaughan, 39, of Des Moines was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.

April 17
4:06 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call in the 500 block of N. 16th Street in Grand Junction.
4:19 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a complaint of a sick raccoon in the 600 block of S. 9th Street in Grand Junction.
8:20 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy arrested Conar Hornsby, 25, of Grand Junction for an arrest warrant for a probation violation.

April 18
12:31 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on Rebecca Street in Grand Junction. A 17-year-old female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, second offense and possession of drug paraphernalia.
10:21 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy placed a stray dog that was found in the 1200 block of T Avenue into Paws.
10:41 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted with an unruly patient in the 1000 block of W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson.
5:13 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an identity theft complaint in the 1000 block of 190th Street.
7:11 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an abandoned vehicle on E Avenue near 195th Street.    

April 19  
11:16 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a civil issue that was found to originate in Rolfe.
1:55 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a driving complaint on Highway 30 near E Avenue.
3:25 p.m. - Marne Irlbeck, 29, of Carroll was booked into the jail for fifth degree theft.

April 20
6:40 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy conducted a welfare check on U Avenue near 330th Street.
8:59 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with an assault in the 500 block of W. State Street.
1:15 p.m. - Rene Guzman, 45, of Paton was booked into the jail to serve a sentence.
2:01 p.m. - Zachery Waters, 25, of Paton was booked into the jail for a violation of pre-trial release.
2:17 p.m. - Kelsey Brooks, 35, of Des Moines was booked into the jail for failure to appear.
7:36 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a child custody dispute in the 500 block of N Avenue.
8:11 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a driving complaint in the 100 block of Ram Drive.

April 21
9:49 a.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a property dispute in the 100 block of W. Percival Street, Rippey.
2:21 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated a driving complaint around Grand Junction.
2:21 p.m. - Katherine Wells, 33, of Jefferson was booked into the jail for domestic abuse assault.
5:25 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy assisted with a dog running at large on 220th Street near N Avenue.
8:39 p.m. - A sheriff’s deputy investigated an alarm in the 800 block of Lincoln Street in Scranton.
