Local vineyard to be featured on IPTV

SCRANTON — Iowa Public Television’s search for the farms, restaurants and ingredients “that make Iowa food uniquely Iowan” has led the statewide network to Greene County’s very own John 15 Vineyard.

The Scranton vineyard of Nancy and Dean Rogers will be featured on IPTV’s “Iowa Ingredient” series at 6:30 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the network announced late last week.

Now in its fourth season, each episode of “Iowa Ingredient,” hosted by Charity Nebbe, features a single Iowa ingredient and treats viewers to a trip from the farm to the table.

John 15 Vineyard is known for growing grapes for anything and everything — except, that is, for wine.
