Casino books Ratt, Travis Tritt

Staff report
Flashback to J&J Skateland circa 1985.

Was there any better song to skate around to than “Round and Round” by Ratt?

No. (But “Cum on Feel the Noize” would have been an acceptable answer, too.)
Ratt is now coming to Jefferson.

Wild Rose Casino on Wednesday afternoon announced a pair of summer concerts to ring in its second anniversary — with Travis Tritt being the other.

Ratt will play the casino’s Greene Room on Friday, Aug. 4, with Tritt there Saturday, Aug. 5.

Tickets are $35, and go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday via wildroseresorts.com or in person at the casino’s Iowa Store. Both shows are standing room general admission events.

Tritt was one of the country superstars of the early ’90s, notably teaching fans how to properly spell “T-R-O-U-B-L-E.” His hits also include “Here’s a Quarter (Call Someone Who Cares).”

Ratt, one of the biggest bands to crawl off the Sunset Strip and onto MTV in the 1980s, also scored big with “Lay it Down.”

Wild Rose Jefferson opened for business in July 2015.
