AAI to distribute air training products

Staff report
Not content to rest on its laurels in its 60th anniversary year, American Athletic Inc. this week announced a partnership with a company whose air-tight inflatable products are touted as the biggest innovation in gymnastics training since the trampoline.

Jefferson-based AAI — already the leading U.S. manufacturer of gymnastics apparatus — on Tuesday announced a five-year U.S. distribution partnership with AirTrack Factory.

AirTrack Factory’s inflatable products are designed for the world of elite sports training, making tumbling easier on an athlete’s body by allowing for more repetitions.

The partnership gives AAI the ability to offer elite gymnastics and cheer facilities the latest in air training equipment.

“This partnership signals AAI’s ongoing commitment to provide the gymnastics, cheerleading and training category with the most innovative training and performance equipment in the marketplace today,” Steve Cook, AAI sales director, said in a statement.

AAI was founded in Jefferson in 1954, and has been the chosen gymnastics equipment supplier at two Olympic Games.
